Advent Challenge 2020

Over the course of the next few weeks we will be updating this page weekly for you to follow along as we journey through the Advent Season. Lets be intentional about keeping Christ at the center of the season this Christmas!

  • Adults

This is a time of year filled with joy, but maybe, like me you struggle to maintain joy at Christmas. So many external things fight for our attention during Christmas, busyness, financial struggles, broken relationship, family issues, overworking or not enough work. The list is endless. I want to encourage you this week to be intentional about seeking joy. Joy that is eternal. Joy that comes from Emmanuel, God with us. Pastor Renny shared with us Sunday, that when things get hard, we are to praise Him. If we are weary, praise Him.

Are you struggling to find joy this Christmas? Sing, praise and worship Jesus. Will you allow the Holy Spirit to fill your heart with joy that surpasses all the hurt and weariness?

  • Families

This week we focus on the joy of Christmas. As parents we experience this joy through the eyes of our children. Sometimes though life is challenging and we may have to work harder to choose joy. We can choose Joy by being aware of the moments of joy all around us. The belly laugh of a child, the glow of the Christmas tree, the warmth of little hands nestled into ours. Let's search for joy this week in the little hidden moments!

  • Kids

This week you received a jingle bell in service. Can you make a joyful noise to the Lord this week by choosing JOY?  Try writing or drawing a picture of something that has brought you joy this week. Remember the joy of the Lord is our strength!
